O2 and AMG target tech breakthrough with new deal

New technology analysing crowd movements is to be installed in O2 Academy venues as part of O2’s new 10-year naming rights partnership with Live Nation and Academy Music Group (AMG).

The renewed alliance, first established in 2008 after Live Nation acquired a majority stake in AMG, secures O2 as the naming rights partner to 19 AMG venues in 13 cities for a further decade. Financial details have not been disclosed.
