Radio promotions executives have welcomed the potential “major impact” from a new multi-genre awards show from Global to be staged just a week after the BRITs.

The Global Awards, staged at the Eventim Apollo on Thursday (March 1), features performances from a diverse line-up of artists – Sam Smith, Rita Ora, Kasabian, Martin Garrix and Andrea Bocelli – championed on the company’s radio networks.
