Tyler Brown has hailed the songwriting prowess of contestants on the latest series of X Factor, which marks a departure from the cover versions that have been the mainstay of the ITV series.

While the recordings from the show released via Syco are not chart eligible, Grace Davies reached No.2 on iTunes with Too Young and Rak-Su made No.3 with Mamacita following the first live shows (October 28 and 29).
