Power playlists: Biz urges radio to back homegrown talent

Major label executives have told Music Week there’s “room for improvement” on radio playlisting as airplay data revealed that UK artists made up just half of the Top 100 last year.

Analysis of Radiomonitor figures for 2017 showed more British acts in the Top 10 but an overall decline of 7.4% with 50 entries in the Top 100 last year.
