1989 becomes Taylor Swift's first million-seller in the UK

Taylor Swift's 1989 has become her first album to sell 1 million copies in the UK.

The 2014 album passed the milestone in yesterday's midweeks, where it was No.23 on sales of 1,908. That figure comprises 850 physical copies of the LP, plus 908 digital downloads and 150 album stream 'sales'. 

Added to the total tally from Friday's chart of 998,925, that puts total sales of 1989 at 1,000,833 - just over the million mark, with half the chart ...
