The catalogue of rock band AC/DC has finally been made available on iTunes after the band snubbed the service for so long.
In 2007, the AC/DC signed an exclusive deal with Verizon's online music store which only allowed consumers to purchase entire albums (that were generally $2 more than the price at Amazon at the time) - with no facility to purchase single album tracks or download to mobile phones.
Now TechRadar reports that the AC/DC back catalogue has been made available in the Apple store with albums available in versions ‘Remastered for iTunes’ with individual tracks also available to purchase.
Two album collections are available as well. One features all the albums in a single digital box set with iTunes liner notes and photos and the other – The Complete Set – has additional rarities, demos, four live albums and extensive essays.
Despite the long-awaited foray onto iTunes AC/DC music is still not available on Spotify and Rdio.
