Apple has reportedly been in talks with Beat By Dre parent Beats Electronics about partnering on its forthcoming music streaming service.
Reuters says that the chief executives of the two companies, Tim Cook and Jimmy Iovine met last month to discuss the project, named Daisy.
Sources reported that the meeting was “informational” and set up at the turn of the year when the vague concept of Daisy was revealed.
Separately, Warner owner Access Industries has invested $60m in Daisy that is due for launch later this year.
Iovine said: “Daisy allows us to re-introduce the same magic into the process of music discovery and consumption."
