Apple to help 'accelerate paid subscription' - report

Apple has reportedly been in talks with major label executives to help convert music consumers back to a paid-for model.

The tech brand will do its part by launching its own streaming service later this year, without a free tier. Instead, the platform will offer an initial trial period, after which users will need to pay around $8 a month, reports re/code.

June 8 is apparently the target launch date for the service, according to TechCrunch and 9To5 ...
