This year's Artist and Manager Awards will have two new categories at its March 26 event.

This first will celebrate managers of writers and producers, with Jackie Davidson announced as its first recipient.

Davidson began in marketing and promotion but it was the foundation of her management company 20 years ago that established her career.

She has since specialised in developing young talent and in particular started working with two young writers, Wayne Hector (pictured) and Ali Tennant.
