BPI acts after sampling complaints

The album was compiled by DJ Sanj and the BPI says it has received a number of complaints concerning unauthorised use of  music on it. Hi Tech is distributing the album and the BPI warns that if it does not respond to the concerns it has raised it may proceed with legal action to prevent further sales.

"We believe that this remix album uses lengthy samples of our members' sound recordings without permission," says BPI director of anti-piracy David Martin. "Of course, we take every complaint we receive in relation to our members' rights very seriously and we are investigating the situation."
