British acts claimed 1 in every 8 albums sold globally in 2013

One in every eight artist albums sold across the globe in 2013 was from a British act.

The 13% share of global album sales for UK artists last year was down slightly on 2012 (13.3%) but up one both 2011 and 2010 when the British share stood at 12.6% and 11.8% respectively.
