BT strikes deal with Universal for TV music streaming service

BT has done a deal with Universal for a music streaming and karaoke platform that it will launch via its TV service.

The Guardian and The Financial Times report that the service will be free to BT TV Unlimited customers and £3 a month to other BT TV users.

It will launch with around 150 albums-worth of music and BT hopes to sign licensing deals with more major and indie labels going forward.
