Calvin Harris's billion streams on Spotify are worth $7 million

Calvin Harris become the first British solo artist to clock up more than a billion streams on Spotify.

Judging by the digital service's announced per-stream royalty of $0.007, that means Harris has generated around $7 million (£4.34m) on Spotify in total - although how much of this has gone to the artist and how much has gone to his label, Columbia, is obviously private.
