Island Records/Communion has signed female duo Deap Vally to a record deal, with the hotly-tipped LA act putting pen to paper at Island HQ last Friday (August 31).
Managed by James Sandom, Deap Vally have been backed by Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq, NME, Sunday Times and The Guardian.
After playing at Reading, Leeds and 1234 festivals they will head out on a headline tour of the UK, culminating at the Sebright Srms in London on September 10.
Deap Vally previously released single, Gonna Make My Own Money. Their first release on their new label is due this autumn when they will also head out on tour supporting The Vaccines.
