Deezer partners with Mini for in-car service

Deezer has partnered with automotive brand Mini to bring the streaming service to the entertainment systems in its cars.

Deezer Premium+ subscribers can download the latest update to the Deezer App from Apple’s App Store to access the service. This app links with Mini Connected, its in-car entertainment system and will make available Deezer's catalogue of 25 million songs.

Drivers can use the Mini joystick, dash screen and steering wheel to control the app.

Deezer CEO Axel Dauchez said: “You can’t have a road trip without the right music, and you can’t enjoy a car without an amazing stereo. We’re excited about joining the iconic Mini brand in giving people the soundtrack they need for the open road. 25 million songs and one simple app should help people find the right song for the moment – wherever they’re going.”
The Deezer in-car service can also be used alongside apps for Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Google Search.
From today, owners of a Mini with the Mini Connected option will be able to use Deezer in their cars.

This follows a similar partnership with Volvo that saw the French streaming service introduced into its cars earlier this year.
