Deezer launches new social singing app

Dezeer has launched a new free-to-play iOS game for iPhone and iPad – social singing game Lalilala.

The app pulls in a person’s friend list from Facebook, at which point they can choose a song, sing it and send it to a friend who has to guess the track in order to score points.

The music is taken from Deezer’s library of 18 million songs.

Lalilala was one of the winners at the first Deezer music hackathons in Paris. Speaking at the event, creator Romain Sion said: "Music presents limitless creative opportunities to developers, and the Open Deezer platform is a great new opportunity to build amazing experiences around music – that’s what Lalilala is about.”

With 23 million people now using Deezer across 88 markets globally Deezer’s Open Music API offers developers the opportunity to build social experiences around music for millions.

Lalilala takes advantage of a set of APIs which enable developers to build rich games and applications using the songs within the Deezer music catalogue.

The game is available for download from the Apple app store.
