Downtown Music Publishing has announced the signing of Lenono Music and Ono Music to publishing administration agreements for the US.
According to Billboard, the agreement is affective immediately and will see Downtown represent Lennon’s solo works and the complete works of Yoko Ono.
The two catalogues had previously been administered by EMI since the Nineties.
"We are both honoured and humbled to represent the iconic songs of John and Yoko," said DMP president Justin Kalifowitz. "We look forward to creating new opportunities that will expand the reach of their timeless music and message."
The deal is Downtown Music Publishing’s first as a standalone publisher after Downtown’s recorded music business was sold to its co-founders.
