Founded by songwriters Denny Randell and Biddy Schippers the company gives fans the opportunity to buy works by artists through the GI Jams website - which features artists profiles, music, pictures, bios and blogs.
The last year has seen the organisation release a series of compilations through its site and, under the terms of the new agreement, EMI will link up with GI Jams to administer artists works and pitch them for use in sync.
Randell said many of the songs featured on the website were written in tents and barracks on military bases here around the world. "It is fantastic to be joining forces with EMI Music Publishing to further our goal of promoting the music of these greatly talented men and women of our Armed Forces," he noted.
EMI Music Publishing vice president of legal and business affairs Stephen J. Dallas added, "GI Jams provides active and veteran service men and women with a valuable outlet for their musical talents, and we're looking forward to representing their original compositions across the world."
