EMI sues used MP3 store ReDigi

The lawsuit is aimed at the technology and processes used by ReDigi to create what it calls "the world's one and only online marketplace for used digital media."

The transaction between the seller's hard drive to the ReDigi servers does not involve copying but is a simultaneous transaction as far as ReDigi CEO John Ossenmacher is concerned, says Billboard.biz.

But EMI Publishing believes that duplicating is involved in the process and alleges that ReDigi makes multiple unauthorised copies in violations ...
