EPM will advance Beatport payments to label partners
Electronic music distributor EPM has said that it will advance outstanding Beatport royalty payments to its label partners until the SFX-owned music store resolves its issues.
Beatport has caused controversy after sending out a letter to its label partners saying that, because parent company SFX is currently involved in a ‘going private’ process, royalty payments have become “trapped”.
The company added that payments will be made once the process comes to an end in the next few weeks.
