Facebook is testing a number of ‘Buy Tickets’ buttons for its events pages – leading to some speculation that the social network could one day enter the ticketing space more deeply.
The examples that have been snapped by users so far appear to be relatively small scale gigs.
The Next Web reports that the mechanism only seems to be available in Israel and The Netherlands at present with buttons also being seen to appear on some people’s timelines.
At present the links redirect to third-party ticketing companies. The picture below shows a link to Ticketmaster during an event setup.
