Fairwood Music has signed British composer and songwriter Benson Taylor to its roster of writers.

Taylor has composed music for brands such as Coca Cola and Wal-Mart along with the official trailer music for Hollywood blockbusters Avatar and Clash Of The Titans.

The Fairwood Music Group was founded in London in 1987 by Francis Pettican and Peter Cornish. Over the years it has represented artists and writers such as David Bowie, U2, Cat Stevens, The Average White Band, Bob Marley, Sandy Denny and J.J. Cale.

Discussing the deal, Benson said: "I'm very excited about the coming years with Fairwood Music and working closely with Francis Pettican and the incredible team there.

“I'm extremely humbled to join their roster, amongst some of the most recognised talents in the world. Here's hoping some of it will rub off on me!"
