Google is reportedly to launch a competitor to Amazon’s Prime service in the US.
Dubbed Google Shopping Express, the service will be around $69 or $64 a year (Amazon Prime charges $79 a year) and offer same-day delivery from a range of US stores, according to TechCrunch sources.
Tom Fallows - an e-commerce product manager at Google – is being linked to the project, which is apparently an effort to focus Google’s e-commerce initiatives.
