Gracenote has shown off an early prototype of a new music recognition app that works for live performances.
The app sounds like it would be the Shazam equivalent to live music and sit alongside the likes of SoundHound.
The new technology is the product of a hackathon that took place in San Fansisco at the weekend ahead of the Outside Lands music and arts festival. It was sponsored by Gracenote along with Dolby.
