Grooveshark responds to Universal lawsuit

UMG claimed that that 'Grooveshark's senior management and employees "have personally uploaded tens of thousands of recordings to the service in clear violation of the law."'

Reports say that the alleged infringement pertains to over 100,000 UMG tracks at up to £150,000 per song.

Billboard.biz has obtained the following response from Grooveshark, which undermines the UMGs evidence against the music search and streaming service:

"We have reviewed the Complaint that Universal Music Group filed last Friday against Grooveshark in U.S. ...
