Jonathan Dickins: 'Spotify shouldn't force artists to be on the free tier'

Big name artists such as Taylor Swift would stop withholding music or removing catalogues from streaming services such as Spotify if deals for content to be available on premium tiers only where available.

That’s the opinion of Adele manager Jonathan Dickins, who spoke at Dublin’s Web Summit conference yesterday.

The September Management founder said that Spotify would “make it easier on themselves” if itave artists more options than ‘all or nothing’.
