Labels allowed to pursue Vimeo for copyright-infringement in court

A US judge has called into question the “safe harbour” defence in relation to 55 specific videos on Vimeo.

The video platform argues that it is protected from being liable for copyrighted videos uploaded by its users in a long-running lawsuit filed by Capitol Records and other major record labels back in 2009.
