Senior promo exec Kevin McCabe has exited his role at Warner Bros./Parlophone less than four weeks after the announcement of his new job.
McCabe was named SVP, Media, Parlophone & Warner Bros. UK in July, as Warner announced a string of top-line appointments following its acquisition of Parlophone Label Group for £487m.
The popular exec was to report into Miles Leonard and Christian Tattersfield in their new capacity as co-chairman, Warner Bros. Records UK.
Before Universal's purchase of EMI Music and the subsequent sell-off of Parlophone to Warner, McCabe spent much of his role heading up the promotional activity for EMI Label Services acts.
His former partner in that operation, Michael Roe, was recently revealed as the joint-MD of Caroline International - Universal's new Label Services division.
McCabe would not be drawn on the reasons for his Warner exit when contacted by Music Week, but did confirm: "I have parted company with my previous employers."
He added that it was "still too early to say" what his next industry move would be.
