iTunes has release its Best of 2012 lists.
UK artists Lianne La Havas and Emeli Sande picked up big accolades as the female acts were crowned with the Album of the Year (Is Your Love Big Enough?) and Artist of the Year respectively for their debut solo campaigns.
Also a big homegrown success, this summer’s London Olympic Games helped showcase a multitude of musical talent and the Olympic Opening Ceremony, with music composed by Underworld, was named as the iTunes performance of the year.
Breakout Canadian artist Carly Rae Jepsen bagged the track of the year nod for her pop hit Call Me Maybe.
Top sellers on the platform came from Gotye, with single Somebody That I Used To Know and Emeli Sande’s album, Our Version Of Events.
