Manchester's The Roadhouse to close

The Roadhouse in Manchester is to close down at the end of May, it has been announced.

The 200-capacity venue, located in the city's Northern Quarter, has hosted acts such as Coldplay, Muse and The White Stripes in its 22-year history, but will hold its last show on May 31. It also welcomed Elbow last month as part of War Child's Passport Back To The Bars series.

No reason has been given for the closure but co-owner Kate Mountain told ...
