Beggars Group co-founder Martin Mills has told Music Week of his optimism that Warner Music's successful £487m buyout of Parlophone Label Group will help curb the power of the recorded music market's most dominant players.
Mills was one of the most vocal opponents to Universal Music's acquisition of EMI Music last year - from which PLG was a divestment. Warner's acquisition of the asset was approved by the EC this morning.
