Midweek Charts update: Avicii hits market's highest sales since December

Avicci's Wake Me Up has become the fastest-selling single in the UK in eight months after already this week surpassing 200,000 sales.

With two days of trading still to go, the Positva/PRMD single has already achieved the highest weekly sales to date this year, according to Official Charts Company data, beating the previous peak of 198,856 copies set by Robin Thicke's Interscope/Polydor single Blurred Lines with TI and Pharrell Williams in mid-June. Wake Me Up's total up to the end of business on ...
