New IP Crime Unit set for September launch in the UK

A new police unit aimed at targeting intellectual property crime is set for launch in the UK in September, with online piracy one of its main targets.

Announced by Intellectual Property Minister Lord Younger and City of London Police Commissioner Adrian Leppard today, the unit will be one of the first of its kind across the world “ensuring that the UK stays at the forefront of intellectual property enforcement”
