DJ and presenter Pete Tong has been awarded an MBE in the 2014 New Year’s Honours - a list containing a surprisingly small number of music and industry professionals.

Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins is given an OBE, whilst composer Sir Pete Maxwell Davies adds to his existing Knighthood and CBE with a Companion Of Honour.
