Online radio service Pandora has upped the price of its ad-free tier for new subscribers.
The decision comes just days after a US court decreed that the firm must slightly increase the percentage of its annual revenue that it pays out to ASCAP. It must now pay 1.85%, up from around 1.77% previously.
Pandora cited ‘increased royalty rates’ when announcing the new pricing for its ad-free PandoraOne service to $4.99 a month.
