Parlophone boss: 'We're thrilled with Warner deal'

The man in charge of Parlophone Label Group has told Music Week of his delight over Warner's £487m takeover of the company.

The all-cash transaction will close in the summer (mid-2013), subject to EU regulatory approvals and after a consultation procedure with PLG employees.

PLG CEO David Kassler (pictured) has steered the independent group of labels and catalogues since Universal's £1.2bn acquisition of EMI Music in September.
