Police launch largest ever piracy crackdown in Italy

46 torrent, streaming and other file-sharing websites have been blocked at ISP level in Italy as part of the country’s largest ever piracy crackdown.

The Italian authorities blocked 27 copyright-infringing websites in April 2013, hitting the likes of The Pirate Bay, KickassTorrents, isoHunt, 1337x and more.

The latest attack on pirate sites in the territory has been ordered by the Public Prosecutor of Rome.
