Performing rights organisation PPL paid out a record £161.2 million in 2014, as well as seeing an all-time-high income of £187.1m.

PPL’s 2014 financial results were revealed at its AGM, hosted by chairman Fran Nevrkla at King’s Place in London On June 3.

The organisation saw year-on-year growth across all revenue streams, with revenue from the public performance of music across the UK increasing by 10% to £76.7 million. International collections increased by 6% to £36.4 million in 2014, while ...
