R2 head of music backs on-air/on-sale

Sony, Universal and the indies signalled their intention earlier this week to move towards on-air/on-sale, in response to the changing digital landscape.

The move was welcomed by the industry as a whole, even getting the backing of the UK Government yesterday (Tuesday). But it is radio stations, pluggers and labels who will have to make the greatest change to their working practices.
