The single album deal with TBD follows an independent, pay-what-you-want online release of In Rainbows, along with an option to pre-order a multi-disc boxed set, on October 10 via the band's website.
In Rainbows will get an December 31 CD release in the UK and the rest of the world via XL Recordings. TBD, which is run by Phil Costello, recently changed its name from Side One following legal issues with a similarly named operator in the US.
Discussing the motivation for choosing TBD, Radiohead's co-manager Bryce Edge says, "We have known and worked with Phil Costello for years. The independent nature of the company, where one knows exactly who is in control of the company and what the company's short and medium term future is; those were quite strong attractions, along with the belief that they can do a great job on the project."
While no single will be released in North America, Edge confirms that the tracks Jigsaw Falling Into Place and Bodysnatchers are being worked to radio, with Jigsaw Falling Into Place, which will be the first UK single, expected to take over in the early stages of the campaign.
