Robbie Williams’ LP Swings Both Ways achieved more pre-orders than any other album in Amazon.co.uk history.

The album, which was released on Monday (November 18) has already become the highest-selling week one album of 2013 to date on Amazon.co.uk.

Fans are able to secure priority access to Williams’ related tour by purchasing through the e-tailer before November 24.

Williams’ record-breaking pre-order figures sees his latest Swing album overtake Take That’s Progress, which is followed by Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed A Dream, Coldplay’s X&Y and Amy Winehouse’s Lioness: Hidden Treasure.

“Robbie Williams has long been tipped for Christmas success with his highly anticipated new album, but to overtake Take That’s Progress as the most pre-ordered album on Amazon.co.uk is some feat,” said Paul Firth, Amazon.co.uk head of music.

“Giving priority ticket access for Amazon customers to UK dates on his upcoming tour has clearly been a big draw for fans. It’s great to see that enthusiasm and demand for his tenth studio album is just as high as it has always been.”
