Shazam has received a $40m ((£26m) investment from Mexican telecoms billionaire Carlos Slim, reportedly the world's richest man.
America Movil, the telecoms firm controlled by Slim, is taking an undisclosed stake believed to be around 10 per cent, which would value the mobile app company at close to £260m, according to The Independent.
