Simon Napier-Bell and Björn de Water have formed a music company to provide artist managers with a range of consultancy services.

Named Snap-B Music, the venture aims to offers advice and expertise covering all matters relating to the management, promotion and advancement of an artist's career.

The company will also offer a full range of music publishing, record production and business affairs services.

Napier-Bell has worked in the music industry since the sixties. He has managed artists including The Yardbirds, John's Children, Marc Bolan, Japan, London, Asia, Ultravox, Boney M, Sinitta, Wham!, Blue Mercedes, Alsou and Candi Staton.

Discussing Snap-B Music, the exec said: "It's impossible to be in management as long as I have without wanting to share the experiences and knowledge I've gathered.

“I can't manage every artist I see who's worth helping, the job is too time consuming, but I can share my expertise with other managers and tailor advice specifically to the needs of their particular artist. It seems the best possible way to stay involved in management while at the same time freeing myself up to pursue other interests too."

De Water began his career on the Dutch music scene as an artist and ghostwriter before switching to management ten years ago. Since then he has worked with artists such as Delinquent Habits, Postmen and Lucien Foort.
