There's good news on the way for rightsholders with music on SoundCloud - the company will be adding a subscription tier to its service later this year, according to the company's CTO and co-founder Eric Wahlforss.

Wahlforss confirmed the plan after documents were leaked suggesting that it was on the cards.

The exact launch date and pricing is still unclear however. The split between rightsholders and SoundCloud has also not yet been revealed.
