The Coke deal - which has been at the centre of sponsorship rumours surrounding Spotify - was confirmed at the AdAge Digital Conference in New York this afternoon.
A message posted on The Coca-Cola Co. Twitter feed read:
"What goes better with Coke? Music. Daniel Ek just announced @Spotify and Coke partnership. Details to come. #aadigital #drinkmusic"
The CEO also said that Spotify has been working with Intel, McDonalds and Reebok to release branded apps although further details are yet to emerge.
