Spotify has announced that it has surpassed a four million paying subscriber base worldwide.
The news was revealed by Spotify chief content officer & North America MD Ken Parks in London today at the Global Business Summit on Creative Content.
Parks also confirmed that Spotify now has more than 15 million active users; in other words, around 11 million non-paying users.
The exec revealed the news that Spotify had surpassed three million paying subscribers in January, meaning the service has taken around six months to clock up a further million subscribing users.
