Record Store Day Adapter Prize launches in US

US record store owners have launched The Record Store Day Adapter Prize to recognise significant releases on the day.

Modelled loosely on the UK's Mercury Prize and Canada's Polaris Prize, the award is based in four categories and determined by record store staff and customers.
