Tribune completes $170m Gracenote acquisition
Tribune Company has completed its acquisition of Gracenote from Sony Corporation of America for $170 million.
Tribune Company’s intent to purchase all shares of Gracenote, Inc. from Sony was announced at the end of last year.
The deal brings together Gracenote and Tribune Media Services, allowing the latter to expand into new areas including streaming music services, mobile devices and automotive infotainment.
