Tunecore paid $330m to artists since 2006 - report
TuneCore says its artists have earned $330 million the company launched in 2006.
The numbers were garnered from more than 4 billion cumulative streams and download units, according to Billboard.
Artist earnings grew 20% in the January-September 2013 period year-on-year, and TuneCore artists saw a 135% increase in music downloads and streams over the same timeframe.
A string of new product and service enhancements launched in recent months played a part in the spike, the company notes.
