The research found that across copyright sectors (including book publishing, music, film, TV/radio and 'miscellaneous artwork') approximately £5.1bn was injected into the economy in 2009 - £3.2bn more than existing official data recorded in UK national accounts.
The adjusted research was conducted by the Intellectual Property Office on behalf of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
